How I Can Help

A personalized plan for stronger reading foundations.

Support begins by understanding your child's reading needs, then builds a Tailored Literacy Intervention Program with clear instruction, purposeful practice, and support for your family.

Tailored Literacy Intervention Program

One complete program, built around your child.

The program begins with a literacy assessment and an individualized plan focused on the foundational skills your child needs most. Over at least eight weeks, together with your family we will use targeted instruction, practice, and ongoing adjustment to support steady growth.

How the Program Works

A clear process that responds to your child's growth.

  1. 1

    Assess

Identify strengths, needs, and a clear starting point.

  2. 2

    Plan

Build an individualized intervention plan with clear priorities.

  3. 3

    Practise

Use targeted instruction and consistent practice at home.

  4. 4

    Observe & Adjust

Adapt instruction as your child's needs become clearer.

  5. 5

    Reassess

Compare progress and identify appropriate next steps.

Why Eight Weeks?

Strong foundations take time to build.

Time to teach

Skills are introduced clearly and built in a purposeful sequence.

Time to practise

Repeated practice helps new skills become more accurate and automatic.

Time to observe growth

A full cycle provides enough evidence to make informed next-step decisions.

Eight weeks is the minimum. Families may extend the program week by week when, together, we agree that continued support would be helpful.

Ways to Work Together

Choose the level of direct support that fits your family.

Every option includes guidance, an individualized plan, and active parent involvement. The difference is how much instruction we provides directly.

Parent-Led

Guidance for confident families

I assess, plan, and explain the program. Your family leads the regular instruction and practice at home.

May be a good fit when:

  • You feel comfortable leading reading activities.
  • You can provide consistent practice at home.
  • You want guidance without regular one-on-one sessions.

Families can contact me to discuss how the program is going.

More Direct Support

More instruction from me

I provide a greater share of the targeted instruction while parents reinforce skills and reading routines between sessions.

May be a good fit when:

  • Your child needs more direct support.
  • Your time for formal instruction is limited.
  • You can reinforce skills between sessions.

Frequency is agreed upon together and depends on availability.

One-on-One Literacy Sessions

Additional support when your family needs it.

Families choosing Shared Support or More Direct Support may add one-on-one literacy sessions. The number and frequency of sessions are decided together based on your child's needs, your family's availability, and our schedule.
