I listen first.
I begin by listening to your concerns and understanding what you are noticing at home.
Meet Annie
I’m Annie - a parent, educator, and lifelong learner who is passionate about helping children become confident, successful readers.
My goal is to help families feel understood, supported, and clear about the next step forward.
Why Literacy Matters to Me
My passion for literacy grew as I studied the Science of Reading and began teaching graduate-level literacy coursework. The more I learned, the more clearly I saw that many struggling readers do not need to try harder. They need instruction that matches how children actually learn to read.
There is nothing more rewarding than watching a child who once felt frustrated begin to see themselves as capable.

What I Want Families to Feel
Many parents know their child is struggling but are not sure how to help. My goal is to replace that uncertainty with clarity.
I want families to leave thinking: I understand what my child needs, I know why it matters, and I know how I can help.
