Delightful, Skill-Boosting Curriculum

Designed to support kids being healthy, curious, capable learners through exploring the outside world.

Spring Classes

Experience our outdoor curriculum as live, weekly classes in your neighborhood.

This Spring, we focus on creativity—the ability to imagine original ideas or solutions to problems and make them happen. We’ll help kids develop creative mindsets and strategies that they can use throughout their lives to invent new things, solve problems, express their ideas and feelings, and nurture relationships. And, we’ll do it all through enriching, outdoor play!

Summer Tinkergarten CAMPS

This Summer, our curriculum is designed to help each child strengthen and balance their senses in the most stimulating and soothing classroom of all—the great outdoors. We’ll activate the senses of sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch. We’ll focus on integrating multiple senses at once and introduce two hidden senses that, though less known, have a major impact on how kids feel and learn—the vestibular system and proprioception. We’ll wrap up with lessons designed to help us explore the senses we love most at Tinkergarten.

We meet Monday to Friday from 9:30-11:00 AM! Sometimes we will even stay for a picnic lunch in the beautiful parks and let our play continue as organically as it starts!

How it works

Outside is our classroom

We have no walls. Creatures are our teachers, mud and sticks are our tools. Every lesson connects us to nature.

Open-ended, child-led

Kids learn best when they lead the way. We also help grownups support their child.

Irresistible
invitations to play

Each lesson is engineered to engage kids in play that they simply can’t refuse!

Who you get

Hi friends! I am a mom, professor, teacher, learner, and outdoor enthusiast! I am a K-12 certified teacher and am completing my certification to be a School Principal. I am an adjunct professor in the School of Education at a local university! I am also staying home with our two kids to learn, play and grow with them. I have lived in Washington, Oregon, Colorado, and overseas in England, Vietnam, and Germany. No matter the weather, exploring, playing, and getting dirty outdoors are our favorite things. We hope you will join us for some outdoor fun!
